In 2022, George started traveling to Ghana more frequently. And every time, the same problems came up.

Uber was hit or miss. Sometimes the driver would cancel, sometimes they'd show up with seat belts that didn't work. Renting a vehicle was worse. Most of the available cars were old. The ones that weren't were charging $500 to $700 a day, pricing that made no sense for what you were getting.

The gap was obvious: there was nothing in the middle. Nothing that offered a genuinely modern, reliable, professional car hire experience at a price that made sense for diaspora visitors, business travelers, and tourists.

So we built it.

Transparent Rentals launched with a single vehicle, a brand new 2025 BYD Song Plus SUV, and one pricing model: $120/day, all-inclusive. Professional driver. 100km of fuel. WiFi. Bottled water. No hidden fees. No negotiation. No surprises.

The name says everything. We priced it transparently, we described it transparently, and we deliver exactly what we promise. That's not a marketing line. It's how the business was designed from day one.
