Labadi Beach - officially La Pleasure Beach - is the most famous beach in Accra. It's a proper beach: wide, lively, with music, food vendors, drumming circles, and a steady crowd of locals, expats, and visitors. It charges a small entrance fee and gets busy on weekends.
The beach is about 10km east of central Accra in the La area. In normal traffic, that's 20–25 minutes. On a weekend afternoon, it can take longer.
