Weekly and Multi Day Car Hire in Accra with a Driver

A week in Accra without arranged transport turns into a daily negotiation. Ride hailing that cancels when it sees the destination, taxis where the fare is discussed before every trip, and the slow realisation that you are spending an hour a day solving transport instead of doing what you came for.

Booking by the week removes that entirely. One vehicle, one driver, one price, for as many days as you need.

Why the Same Driver Matters More Than the Car

By day three your driver knows where you are staying, which gate to use, what time you actually leave rather than what time you said, and which of your relatives lives down which unmarked turning in Dansoman. None of that is written anywhere. It is learned, and it only accumulates if the same person drives you each day.

This is the single biggest practical difference between a weekly booking and hailing a different car every morning, and it is why most of our longer bookings come from people who tried the other way on their first trip.

Who Books by the Week

Diaspora visits are the core of it, particularly trips built around a funeral, a wedding or an outdooring, where the schedule shifts daily and involves several parts of the city plus at least one trip outside it.

Business visitors book weeks for a different reason: predictable arrival times at meetings, and someone to leave a laptop bag with between appointments. Consultants and NGO teams doing field visits around Greater Accra and the Eastern Region use the same arrangement.

What a Day Covers

Ten hours per day, typically morning to evening, with the start time set by you. Days do not have to be identical: a heavy day of running around and a light day with one airport run both count as one day.

If a particular day runs long, extra hours are $12 on the BYD and $14 on the Deepal, per hour. If a day involves leaving Accra, for Cape Coast or Akosombo or Kumasi, that day is priced as a tour or a long distance run instead, and we agree it in advance rather than surprising you.

Longer Than a Week

For stays of two weeks and up, the same daily rate applies and the arrangement gets easier rather than harder, because by then the driver knows the routine completely. Tell us the arrival and departure dates and we will hold the same vehicle for the whole period.

What Is Not Included

Nothing hidden, but worth stating plainly: the rate covers the vehicle, the driver, fuel and the onboard extras. It does not cover your accommodation, park entry fees on tours, or a driver's overnight if you take the car outside Accra and stay the night. Overnights outside Accra add roughly $50 for the driver's room and meals, and we tell you that before you book, not after.
