Shai Hills Resource Reserve sits on the Accra–Akosombo road, about 45 minutes from the city centre. It's one of Ghana's most accessible wildlife reserves and consistently underrated by visitors who prioritise Cape Coast.
Inside the reserve you'll find olive baboons, kob antelope, ostriches, and a variety of birds. The Shai Caves - ancient shelters carved into the hillside - are the other highlight and can be visited with a guide.
